Outlandish Outing at the Outback -
June 18
G'Day fellow Sheilas,
Hope you all made it home safely from our dinner down under
at Outback.
Jenene set up a fun evening for 19 Gadabout sisters and 2
guests! Trish brought a new friend, Bonnie, and Kathy R.'s
daughter Dawn also joined us for the fun! Wonderful turnout
and we enjoyed lots of great fellowship and good food. Their
"Bloomin Onions" are really tasty and our waitress was
superb! How they handle a large group with only one server is
beyond me, but she did a wonderful job!
We collected $16 from the raffle for prizes donated by Jenene,
Sherrie and Abbi - thank you ladies for your generosity. Our
winners were Alena, Barbara, Abbi and our birthday girl
Carolyn! Carol provided the yummy birthday cake and we all
sang the tune of "Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport" that Jenene
had printed up with all sorts of Australian clip art - very fun. She
also did some research on Waltzing Matilda and came up with
some very interesting info( which she also printed up). You're
the BEST, Jenene! Thank you for such a fun evening and I had
to hide my special pen from my son who tried to confiscate it!
Our QM Jane will be out on the road traveling with her husband
for the next couple of months and will not be with us, so I hope
some of you with cameras will step up and fill in for her at our
dinners and get-togethers. The more the merrier and then if
you can send them to Jenene,she will be able to put them on
our website.
Another bit of news for those of you who weren't able to join us
at Outback, our dear Abbi will be retiring next Tuesday, June
30th. Way to go Abbi !! Congratulations and happy retirement!
