Hello Ladies ~
My, Oh, My did we enjoy an evening of
FUN, FELLOWSHIP AND FOOD
GALORE!
Sherrie had her entire condo
clubhouse decorated for "Game
Night" and after attacking the
wonderful smorgasbord we settled
into the game room for lots of
fellowship and festivities. It was so
nice to be able to relax and visit with
one another while enjoying such a
bountiful feast and beautiful
surroundings.
For starters we each shared a fun
childhood or family memory and Jane
awarded her roses to three gals,
Sherrie, Jenene and Josie who had
the most unique or funny stories.
What a great way to get to know more
about each other... Jenene passed
out some wonderful small desk
calendars from Children's Hospital
that will come in handy and have such
great pictures of some of the patients.
Count your blessings every day.
Sandy was our only "birthday girl" in
attendance, so we celebrated her
birthday and the Red Hat's birthday
over delicious giant cookie cakes,
baked by none other than Sherrie.
What a wonderful turnout of 16
Gadabouts and one returning guest,
Nancy Collins, a friend of Carol
Beal's. She is very interested in
joining our group. We missed those
of you who weren't able to join us. :(
Sherrie also had delightful little favors
for each of us, miniature starter pots
of tomatoes and strawberries! How
fun!
$24 dollars was collected for the
raffle, as we were all hoping to win
the adorable Red Hat Lady garden
planter, donated by Barbara and won
by Jill! She hasn't decided on just the
right spot for her yet but was really
excited to win. Other prizes were
donated by Sherrie and Trish and our
other winners were; Carolyn, Jenene,
Trish, Barbara and Beth. It appeared
that the raffle was stacked because 4
of the winners were all at the same
table! Hmmmmm? Not really, but it
got the group riled up and we had a
good time. So after we finished
eating, the raffle, and
announcements; tables were pushed
together and the whole group played
a game of Left, Right, Center. It is a
game of chance played with special
dice. What a hoot! LOTS of FUN. The
dice can be found at either Target or
Meijer in the toy/ game/ cards area.
We never got into any other games as
this one was too much fun.... We
finally had to wrap up the festivities
and everyone pitched in to clean-up
the party house and head our
separate ways until next time. Thank
you, Sherrie, for such a delightful
evening.
Stay well, and enjoy everyday as each
and every one is a gift.
Until we meet again,
Debbie
